Default Position

Until a specific license is shown, simulations, source files, thumbnails, descriptions, and media remain owned by their respective authors.

Viewing a simulation on Hyle Atlas does not automatically grant permission to reuse it outside the site.

Forks and Remixes

When fork and remix features are implemented, each simulation should declare the license terms that govern derivative work.

Fork pages should preserve ancestry, original author attribution, runtime/compiler versions, and relevant source changes.

Recommended Future Licenses

Atlas should support explicit open-source and creative licenses for simulations, such as permissive code licenses for source and Creative Commons licenses for media where appropriate.

Commercial export, baked render outputs, and API integrations may need separate licensing terms.
